Our Chapan fabric was inspired by traditional 17th-century Uzbek ikat weaving techniques. It is testament to the masterful, traditional craftsmanship of the Kerala region in India.
Before weaving commences, the warp threads are screen-printed in 12 distinct stages to create the complex pattern and maintains the beauty of the coloring. The warp consists of 5900 threads of dense BCI cotton. The premium silk weft provides a beautiful, nuanced fabric.
