In Granada, pomegranates find themselves nestled amidst delicate pintucks, forming a trellis-like pattern across the cloth that is reminiscent of fruit-laden bowers in sub-tropical gardens. Pomegranates have been symbols of decadence and luxury for centuries, and appear recurrently in mythology and religious texts to represent wealth and fertility. This printed motif, inspired by an antique carved block, is carefully screen printed onto 100% linen, perfectly placed to allow the second stage of pintucking to highlight the design.
