In Granada, pomegranates find themselves nestled amidst delicate pintucks, forming a trellis-like pattern across the cloth that is reminiscent of fruit-laden bowers in sub-tropical gardens. Pomegranates have been symbols of decadence and luxury for centuries, and appear recurrently in mythology and religious texts to represent wealth and fertility.
